I know, Temple of Doom wasn’t the best Indiana Jones movie by far but it still had some classic scenes in it (and it’s way better than Crystal Skull). I think the scenes at Club Obi Wan and the later escape from the temple via the rail car are some of the best scenes of any movie so, here’s something inspired by those Club Obi Wan scenes.
I mainly created this as an Xmas/birthday present for my friend Stevie who is a huge Indiana Jones/Harrison Ford fan (she actually likes Crystal Skull) and she gave me a postcard, several years ago, of Indy from this very scene that I tried to recreate. I hope she likes my rendition! (Update: She loved it and has it framed and hanging on her wall.) I spent a lot of time on details but it’s not meant to be identical as I took some artistic liberties, as always to make the artwork my own.
I created an artwork similar to this about a year ago but it used my old Rickard character and was just him and the drink on the table with a simple club background. Now I’ve used my new and improved Rickard 2, created a vastly improved light setup, added the plot diamond along with other fine details, and added some background characters so it looks more like a crowded club scene such as in the movie.
Each artwork is printed by professional printers so that your prints will look amazing and last a lifetime. The prints will be printed on a metallic fine art paper that creates stunning, vibrant prints with high contrast. Artworks were created at and will be printed at 300ppi for crisp detail. Some color variation may arise due to differences in computer monitors/mobile devices and display settings. Prints will look as the artist intends and be shipped ready for framing. The “Copyright Lizzie Prusaczyk www.d9s.co” watermark seen on preview images will not be on the printed image. A small “signature” will be faintly visible on the lower left corner. I try to make sure that my digital signature does not distract from the artwork and is only just visible enough so that you will always know who the artist was who created the artwork.
