I could say what this artwork means to me, what inspired me to create this exact subject matter, but I won’t. I would prefer to let it mean whatever it means to the viewer. It’s one of those artworks that is open to interpretation even though I had a very specific feeling and thought in mind when I created it. I want to keep it that way. I did create an artwork that was similar to this, and based on the same feelings/thoughts, back in 2009 but my skills have greatly improved since then and the emotions continue so I decided to create a new and improved version.
The reflection was not created in postwork but is part of the raw render. I used a variety of tricky camera positioning, Poser camera settings, raytraced reflections, and special lighting to create the final effect of the man appearing only in the mirror even though in the un-rendered scene, he is standing right behind her. I’m quite proud of that technical achievement in this artwork. I thought I was going to have to fake the reflection like I did in a similar scene from 2009 where I created the effect with three posed models on either side of a see-through box. I also added an invisible IDL projector behind the mirror to project just a touch of light onto the woman to replicate how light would bounce off the mirror and reflect onto her in real life. Poser didn’t seem to want to do that on it’s own. Postwork was relatively minimal with just some touch-ups, addition of some overlaid textures/borders, and some color adjustments.
Each artwork is printed by professional printers so that your prints will look amazing and last a lifetime. The prints will be printed on a metallic fine art paper that creates stunning, vibrant prints with high contrast. Artworks were created at and will be printed at 300ppi for crisp detail. Some color variation may arise due to differences in computer monitors/mobile devices and display settings. Prints will look as the artist intends and be shipped ready for framing. The “Copyright Lizzie Prusaczyk www.d9s.co” watermark seen on preview images will not be on the printed image. A small “signature” will be faintly visible on the lower left corner. I try to make sure that my digital signature does not distract from the artwork and is only just visible enough so that you will always know who the artist was who created the artwork.
