This is a brand new artwork I created to illustrate one of the more important aspects of Shelby’s character. Although Shelby was taught how to use a gun, she never in her life imagined she would actually need to use it one day. The very thought of having to kill anyone or anything greatly disturbs her. She’s not your typical “kill everything in sight without giving a damn” action/adventure character. It’s one of the character aspects that separates her from most of the adventure heroines I’ve read/seen in other media.

I used IDL in combination with traditional lighting to create the light setup. Truth be told, the lighting of the original render and the way the lighting looks in the final, postworked render look to be completely different. Ah the wonders of postwork! I also rendered the portrait with Poser’s depth of field to put the most emphasis on Shelby’s face rather than the weapon. In the aforementioned postwork, I used a lot of adjustment layers to create the final artwork. I didn’t repaint anything; I just edited the colors and contrast in a variety of ways plus added a soft lensflare and vignette effect. The tears on her face were rendered inside of Poser rather than added in post.
Each artwork is printed by professional printers so that your prints will look amazing and last a lifetime. The prints will be printed on a metallic fine art paper that creates stunning, vibrant prints with high contrast. Artworks were created at and will be printed at 300ppi for crisp detail. Some color variation may arise due to differences in computer monitors/mobile devices and display settings. Prints will look as the artist intends and be shipped ready for framing. The “Copyright Lizzie Prusaczyk www.d9s.co” watermark seen on preview images will not be on the printed image. A small “signature” will be faintly visible on the lower left corner. I try to make sure that my digital signature does not distract from the artwork and is only just visible enough so that you will always know who the artist was who created the artwork.
