Notes:
I started on this scene in late December of 2018 but only just now (in January 2019) have I finally finished it. Consider it my last Xmas-themed artwork until the next Xmas at the end of this year. I didn’t know what I was going to create when I started working on this scene, it’s one of those that just seemed to fall into place one element at a time. This is now my first new artwork of 2019!
Technical Notes:
The lighting is a basic setup which comes alive due to the lights included with MortemVetus’ Holly Candle which is featured in the foreground of this scene. The raw render was kind of dark and a little dull though. I took it into Photoshop and, after a few actions and adjustment layers, I came up with what you see here. The depth of field effect was rendered inside Poser.
