Notes:
The idea for this one just sorta popped out of nowhere while I was just playing around in Poser. I started by just adding the tree (with digiPixel’s awesome addon textures called “Tales for the Christmas Tree”) to a white room set and then this scene came together just one additional element at a time. I was going to add a Santa Claus figure looking in the window at the kid but I’ve been watching too much Investigation Discovery and it looked way too creepy. LOL
Technical Notes:
The PJs on the kid are dynamic cloth (a set by Tipol) and I thankfully just a couple days ago learned how to have more than one dynamic cloth object in a single scene so yay. The snow on the window is actually a flat one sided plane prop behind the window that I created a “frost” transparency map for then rendered it as white. That turned out better than I had hoped. I used Colm’s HDR lights for Render Studio 2014 as my light setup. I then took the scene into Photoshop for several adjustments and the addition of Santa on his sleigh in the window.
