I first created an artwork called Snowbound back in 2014. The idea came to me after days of a severe snowstorm had left me trapped in my house. I drive a little rear-wheel drive coupe that doesn’t handle icy roads very well at all. Icy roads always equal me trapped at home until road conditions improve.
The original artwork was very simple, for this new version I created a more detailed scene including the car keys on the windowsill which she is looking at in despair.
The reflection was created with a raytraced reflection on a clear plane in front of a static background which is a scene I created separately. I used the same character as before but altered her pose, changed her hair, and have her looking at the car keys. The old version had a window made up of a primitives. This is a fully modeled window scene element this time. I noticed that the scene seemed odd with an empty windowsill so I added the props of the coffee cup, book, and car keys as added details.
In postwork, I enhanced the scene with several adjustment layers and a Photoshop action. I added some overlays to enhance the look of the window glass and painted some steam over the coffee cup. As a final touch I added two border overlays.
Each artwork is printed by professional printers so that your prints will look amazing and last a lifetime. The prints will be printed on a metallic fine art paper that creates stunning, vibrant prints with high contrast. Artworks were created at and will be printed at 300ppi for crisp detail. Some color variation may arise due to differences in computer monitors/mobile devices and display settings. Prints will look as the artist intends and be shipped ready for framing. The “Copyright Lizzie Prusaczyk www.d9s.co” watermark seen on preview images will not be on the printed image. A small “signature” will be faintly visible on the lower left corner. I try to make sure that my digital signature does not distract from the artwork and is only just visible enough so that you will always know who the artist was who created the artwork.
