Notes:
This may be the first toon artwork I’ve made in a long time that I think is good enough to put in my main galleries. This is a cute little piece featuring a toon Romeo and Juliet in their first face-to-face meeting. I was going to do one with Juliet on the balcony and Romeo down below but it made the characters too far off to see as well as I wanted. I like this better. I’m very tempted to do another one featuring the “end” of Romeo and Juliet but for now, let’s focus on the good things rather than the dark. Perhaps I’ll make a realistic and dark Romeo and Juliet later. For now, delightful tooniness!
Technical Notes:
The textures for the clothing and hair were made especially for this picture by me and are not available. The characters used, however, are my own creations; they are called Dolce and Macca. Once I got the scene, camera, and lighting setup the way I wanted for the render I then set about finishing it up in postwork. Mainly all I needed to do was to enhance and smooth the colors, add a couple overlays, and create the depth of field effect.
