Back to Work
Two artworks that are new-ish are now available for viewing in the gallery.
First off, I updated my recently updated artwork Piedra del Sol with the final Shelby Bly concept since it’s Shelby Bly Project promotional art. Not only did I update the artwork’s central character/focus, I also postworked it differently to a point that I think this version is far superior. What do you think?
The other artwork is new in that it hasn’t been released before but is new-ish in that I created it back in September. This is the artwork I submitted to the Halloween contest and therefore couldn’t release it until the contest was over. I didn’t place in the contest. 🙁 Anyway, the new artwork is called Monstrosity of the Mind.
I have a few more brand new artworks in the works and they should be ready for prime time soon. I have a series of autumn themed artworks planned including a few that showcase my favorite part of autumn, fresh apples! I also have some redux art ideas in the works and I’m still working on that Redux Gallery for this site; I just need to finish the template for the pages.
New products of all types are about to be added to the D9S Art Shop!
I’ve finally found an affordable yet high quality place to get canvas prints created to be sold in my shop. I purchased one of my recent artwork, Dreams of Summer, to see for myself if they are good enough to be sold in my shop. I also purchased a mouse pad featuring the same artwork and it also turned out great so expect to see mouse pads in the shop too.
In regards to the rest of the shop, I am updating some of my older Poser products and freebies. All the products will be new and improved before being added and ready for your art projects. Once I finish that, I’ll get to work on new design resources.
New 3D Poser character sets are in the works!
I’ve got two character sets currently in production and they should be ready for release in the coming weeks. One is a Day of the Dead Sugar Doll style set for the toon figure Cookie and the other is a film noir style femme fatale style character for V4.
So far the Day of the Dead set is called SugarCookie but I plan on calling it something else once I decide what that is. I have all the textures and materials finished now. There are 10 unique sugar doll style makeups, 5 hair colors (so far), and 4 eye colors. I may make some streaked or ombre colors for the hair too. The hair materials can be used on most (almost every) Cookie hairs. The materials are .mt5 presets so they can be used universally while all other materials are .mc6 presets. So far the set is intended for Poser though it can be loaded in Daz Studio 4.9 (the only difference is the materials need tweaking in DS which I am unable to do at the moment).
I just started on the femme fatale character for V4 a few days ago. I have the face morph close to being finished (I love the “bedroom eyes” I created for her) and I finished the body morph. The skin textures are far from finished though as I only just started on them. I plan on creating a full set of retro style makeups with various eye colors, mix and match lip colors, nail colors and morphs, and whatever else I can come up with. I have several film noir artwork ideas and I needed a good film noir style vixen for the those ideas but couldn’t find one. So, here is the one I’m making both for myself and everyone else. 🙂 I haven’t come up with a name for her yet. I’m open to suggestions, just leave a comment below with your ideas.
