Hello Harper

My first full artwork utilizing the brand-new Poser 12! This is actually a redux of a promotional artwork I created last year although last year I used Poser 11 and Firefly. This time I updated the scene and all of its elements for Superfly and Poser 12. I was amazed at how quickly it rendered! My image was 3000×2400 pixels and it took under two hours even on high settings with my humble GPU! I’m lovin’ it and the software is still technically in a “pre-release” state. I can hardly wait to see what it’s like once it’s finally ready for prime time! I look forward to creating more artworks with Poser 12 as it is continually updated in the months to come.

I used a combination of a light preset from Blackhearted’s Superfly Studio and an IDL dome with a custom map and my own ambient/refraction settings. I utilized the program’s new “transparent background” render option to render the figure without a background and it worked beautifully without any ugly artifacts on the edges of the figure or her hair! In postwork, I added the grunge background and a thin black grunge border. Other than that, I used a curves adjustment layer to enhance my render a bit. I may have also touched up a few places with the heal brush. That’s it!
