Dream 9 Studios v2020.5
It’s been about ten days since I announced I was going to continue my extended hiatus from the art world (see here). Well, I started going further downhill after that but friends and family pulled me back up to somewhat stable ground and inspired me to get back to what truly makes me happy and keeps me sane, my art. My art truly is my life; no matter what side projects I come up with in the meantime.
I want to thank all my friends and family for supporting me (those that do anyway) but I especially want to thank my mom, BellaDark, and Derrick. Without those three, I’d still be starting to lose myself in a depressive episode. Instead, I am focusing on my art again and my mind is coming back into focus. I’m still working on my Sims projects of course (I can do more than one thing at a time) and I still have my physical health problems (which seem to keep getting worse). At least I have my art once again and that is making me happy in ways I had completely forgotten it could.
So what have been doing since I stepped back into the world of art? I opened up a scene of a redux artwork I had started on back in early June of this year but never got around to finishing. I am finishing it now and should have it finished and published by the time I finish this news post. I also decided to completely overhaul the Dream 9 Studios website. Say hello to Dream 9 Studios v2020.5 with integrated shop and more cool features to come! Browse around the site and see what all is new. I deleted a few things too so some old links and images might be broken but that’s okay; on to the new!
In addition to every artwork being available as prints, some are also available as greeting cards! I’ll also be adding mouse pads, coasters, and puzzles in the coming days… I just have to decide which artworks will look best as which. If you’d like to purchase a particular artwork as something other than a print such as a greeting card set or puzzle, let me know and I’ll set that up for you ASAP.
Here’s that new artwork I was telling you about. I’m calling it “Dreams of Spring” and you can find it, once I publish it, in the Magical Fantasy gallery. I also published another artwork that while not technically “new” is one you haven’t seen before. It’s an artwork I created back in May for my mom but forgot to post it anywhere. It’s called “Hummingbird Charm“.
Now I will open up my notebook of ideas and see what idea or ideas appeals to me now to create an artwork of next. No telling what I may create or if said idea that appeals to me will even pan out and if I’ll have to then choose another. That’s just how it goes sometimes. I am prepared for that and will not become discouraged.
If you find anything not working on the site or have any troubles at all, feel free to contact me for assistance. I’m here to help! I think I have everything ready but keep in mind that the site has been completely rebuilt so there’s bound to be a detail here or there that I missed. Oh yeah, be sure to check out the Redux Gallery as I added a couple new entries to it. I think that’s everything. I’m going to go push this site to live and then publish this news post and then hope for some prints sales. 🙂 Thank you for viewing and take care!
