This will be the last news update you see with this version of Dream 9 Studios. Coming very soon and a few months early will be Dream 9 Studios v2020! I have got the new site design almost done way ahead of schedule and rather than wait three months to upload it, I’m going to upload it in about a week or two once I finish polishing everything. I hope you will like the new design! The new v2020 design loads much faster than the current layout and includes a few features I’ve been wanting to implement for years including a Redux Gallery where you can see the evolution of my artworks over time. One big thing that will be changing is the ability to buy prints direct from each artwork page. Now you will be able to use a single order form on a single page to order any prints from across the site. This will save me a lot of time coding and lighten the load on my server. All print sales will still be handled by PayPal.
I created a few new artworks last month and even today; most of which I haven’t added to this site but rather only to the new site. One of the new artworks is a redux entitled “Fear” which you can see at left. I’ll save the others for later. You’ll get to see them all when the new design launches in a week or so. I also created an entry for this year’s Renderosity Halloween Contest but I won’t be able to show you that artwork until after the contest is over. Stay tuned! Right now I’m working on another new redux artwork and plan to start work on another new artwork idea once the redux is finished. I’m on a roll!
The other day I finished rewriting all of my artwork ideas from 2015 to present into a brand new, consolidated “notebook of ideas” of nearly 40 pages with who knows how many ideas sketched out on those pages. What’s great is that I’m still adding to it with even more ideas. Once I finish my current renders, I’ll choose an idea and then get to work on bringing it to life. After that’s completed, I’ll get to work on another idea from the notebook.
I’m also working on some new 3D content products for all you digital artists out there! The first new release will be Harper for La Femme, available soon at Renderosity. You can see an updated preview of her at right. I finished all of her promotional renders a couple days ago and uploaded her to Renderosity shortly after. She is currently in QA testing. I have one more idea for a unique La Femme character (whom I am calling “Rosita”) that I have only just started on. I hope I will have her finished in time for a mid to late October release or early November at the latest. After those that character is finished, I’ll go back to clothing textures and maybe a new hair texture/material set or two. Don’t worry, these will all be in addition to new artworks.
That’s all for now. Be sure to subscribe to the D9S Newsletter to know when the new site is live and other great news including new product releases and more. I’ll be writing another update in a couple weeks or when the new site launches. Thank you for viewing!
