I’ve got some important news for you here in the midst of November 2020 so read on to see what all is happening now and happening soon! If you missed my first news post for November, click here to see that one.
First off the new v2021 Dream 9 Studios website is coming along great! I’m almost done with it and should have it ready for its debut sooner rather than later. I’ve been posting my latest artworks to it instead of here so I don’t have to keep going back and forth. You’ll see all the new and recent stuff soon! There will be some new features to the new site as well including a product showcase and a tutorials/tips & tricks section plus more. I look forward to publishing the new site soon so you can all see it and be able to use/enjoy it. 🙂
I plan on creating some new artworks soon as well and I’ll work on my website while said new artworks are rendering! Well, the website and another important project…
I have finally, finally resumed work on the Shelby Bly Project! What is the Shelby Bly Project? It’s the working title of my original adventure graphic novel that I wrote myself and will illustrate myself. I have quite a bit of the work completed, but there’s still much more to do. One thing that kept me from working on it any sooner this year was my transition from the Firefly to the Superfly render engine because all of my created SBP assets were created for Firefly. I finally, as of today, decided to go over each asset (each character, prop, location, etc. so far created for the novel) and convert them to Superfly so I can then render the novel in Superfly. (You can see a comparison preview of a Firefly vs. Superfly render of Shelby Bly to the left with a slider bar to slide between them.) Where will I post all my new Superfly concept art renders that I create as I update each additional asset?
I’m building a brand new Shelby Bly Project website for 2021! It looks similar to the old one (so far) but it will have lots of new content. It’s at a different address than the current site but I’ll wait to share the new address until it’s ready for prime time.
I’m taking a break from certain projects while I work on certain other projects. (Even I can only focus on so much at one time!) I needed a break from some things before I get burnt out so I’m going to focus on my novel and update my Simularity mods for the Sims 4 as well because I’m getting a lot of requests about those. I need to update my personal blog too, The Artist in Wonderland. I’ll also work on some new artworks for this site and perhaps some promotional artworks for the Shelby Bly Project as well. It all depends on where my muse takes me!
That’s all the news I have for now. Take care and see you in December!
