My apologies for this monthly update being so late in the month but I’ve been offline due to health reasons for over two weeks. I had to have surgery on my right arm the first week of October and that kept me off my computers for a few weeks. Now I’m recovering and working my way back to my art projects and trying to get back to some semblance of normalcy. Still, I do have some news for you and new art since my last update back in September!
First off, back in September I entered the HiveWire3D “We Are All In This Together” Render Challenge. The winners were recently announced and I managed to win Honorable Mention with my artwork titled We’re All In This Together! I received a $25 HiveWire3D gift certificate as my prize! Thank you to the judges and everyone at HiveWire3D! Also congrats to all the winners and to everyone who entered the challenge! I’m a happy little artist and it was a great surprise to wake up to upon my return to the internet after my surgery recovery!
Since my September update, I created several new artworks mostly in September as I wanted to create as much as I could before my surgery since I wasn’t sure how long my recovery would take. So, back in September, after my last update, I created the following new artworks: The Lady in Red, We Have a Problem, Morning Starlet, The Perfect Shot, We’re All In This Together, Engage Quantum Drive, More Teeth, Companions, Autumn Harvest, A Moment in the Park, Ecstasy of Espresso, and Primeval.
As for the month of October, since I’ve mostly been offline, I have so far only created three artworks and they are: Fresh Apples, Down in Africa, and I Voted 2020. I hope to create a couple more artworks before the month is over but we shall see. I created two in a row this weekend and made my arm sore so I need to pace myself a little better and maybe take things a little easier for a while yet.
The Renderosity Annual Halloween Contest is now being voted on. I can’t tell you which entry or entries are mine but I can ask you to go to Renderosity and vote for whichever artwork you deem best and worthy of winning the contest. Good luck to all who entered and may the best art win though I’ve looked at the entries and the competition is fierce this year; lots of great art!
One last thing if you are a United States citizen… please make a plan to vote on or before November 03, 2020! Although I obviously have a preference, I hope that no matter who you want to vote for, that you exercise your right to civic duty and cast your vote in the federal, state, and your local elections. Remember, most changes which will directly affect you often happen on the local level so don’t just vote for president and be done with it. Research all the candidates on the ballot and cast a vote for whomever you deem worthy of your vote in each and every race. Thank you and here’s hoping our country is the one that wins on election night rather than any specific candidate.
Thank you for viewing and take care. See you next month!
