I’ve been creating digital 3D artworks since about 2003. Like with most things, my skills in the early days are nothing compared to what they are now. Now I am able to create artworks at a skill level I could only dream of less than a decade ago. That said, my creativity has sometimes been limited by my skill level of any given year. I also have a hard time letting go of a good concept/theme/idea once I’ve come up with it. So if I came up with an artwork idea in say 2009 but the artwork wasn’t up to par, I may recreate the artwork later once my skill level increases so I can finally do justice to my concept/idea. The resulting recreated artwork is what I call a “Redux Artwork”.
In this gallery you will find pages for most of my redux artworks with comparisons of the originals vs. the later reduxes and final artworks. Nothing is ever truly final in art, until you die. So even final artworks may get another redux at some point.
I created this gallery so you could see how my various artworks and skill levels have evolved over the years and see how I never truly let go of my art once I start work on it.
Click on a small image’s title or the “view artwork” button to view the artwork’s redux page with comparison images and more information about the various versions of the artwork.
