Notes:
This is my entry for this year’s annual Holiday Art Contest at Renderosity. This year’s theme is “Lost Holiday Toys”. I tried to make it look like the teddy bear had built a homemade holiday tree to cheer up the sad doll sitting in the rocking chair and is presenting it to her. I don’t know. Mom helped me perfect the details on this one.
UPDATE: I didn’t place in the contest but that’s okay. Can’t win ’em all and I’m still happy with the artwork that I created. 🙂
Technical Notes:
Most of this is a raw render with traditional lighting in the Firefly render engine. I added a point light in the lamp on top of the tree to project light from the lamp’s flame. I then took the render into Photoshop where I created the sepia effect and “cracked” the glass on the old clock with a brush. I then added a slight glow to the lamp and that was it. The cobwebs were rendered in the scene.
