Working On New Projects
Over the past couple of weeks, I have begun work or continued work on several projects both new and old. Here’s a quick run-down: I’ve resumed work on the Shelby Bly Project graphic novel and have made great progress with it so far. I’ve started on a few new artworks and completed one called Ghost Adventurers. I am once again not only working on commercial content products but am getting close to actually finishing them. I’m only just getting started!
In case you missed it, I released a new artwork a few days ago entitled Ghost Adventurers. Click the aforementioned link or the image to see the artwork page. It’s actually a redux of an artwork I started on in 2013. Now it’s finally “finished”. I’m really pleased with how the ghost in the background turned out!
I have more art in the works though I won’t be able to post everything as soon as I make it. For the first time ever (not sure why I haven’t before) I’m going to enter the Renderosity Halloween Art Contest. According to the rules, all art must be submitted anonymously, can’t be posted anywhere else for the duration of the contest, and you can’t tell anyone which one(s) are yours or ask for votes. I have about three or four artworks for the selected theme in my sketchbook. I’ll only be able to submit one but the others I should be able to post here. The one I submit can’t be posted until the contest is over.
I’m also going through my sketchbook for new artworks. I’m cleaning out the ideas that no longer appeal to me or that I’ve already done. I’m adjusting/updating/improving the sketches for new artworks I want to do. I am also adding new artwork sketches. So far I’ve got about 20 pages of artwork ideas/descriptions/instructions/sketches ready to be printed and put into my notebook for future reference. I’ll start work on the ideas for the Halloween contest first and then a few others that I’ve attached priority to.
In regards to the Shelby Bly Project, the website for it is now live! Click here to check it out now. (Links open in a new tab or window.) It’s a small website right now but it will soon grow with time. I have a few pieces of concept art over there and I’ll be adding a lot more in the coming days.
News specifically about the graphic novel project can be found on the official website. I’m writing about it here so you all know about about the official website.
Work on the writing of the novel is coming along just as well as the creation of the concept art. I’d say I’m about half done with the current draft of the story. I’m not sure when the story will be finished but it will take a few to several more drafts. Stay tuned! I’ll be updating the site again with more concept art next week (sometime between Sunday and Wednesday).
Oh, I’m in the midst of creating a new promotional artwork for SBP. The new artwork is called Piedra del Sol (I think) and should be ready by next week unless it continues to give me problems. Right now I just can’t manage to get the lighting to look the way I want it. It will get done though. I promise!
I have also started a Patreon account. Check it out and maybe consider becoming one of my first patrons? There are several rewards for different patron levels (amount donated per month) including free limited edition prints, special coupons, and much more to come!
Although I don’t have any previews ready yet, I am back to creating commercial content for Poser and hopefully Daz Studio. I’ve got two or three characters in the works for M4, a character that’s currently V4 but I may convert to G2F, a couple other V4 characters I want to at least try to convert to G2F, and an assortment of clothing textures. My shop at Renderosity is about to have new life breathed into it. That’s where I’ll be putting everything that doesn’t go into my Daz3D shop (including clothing textures for models available only at Renderosity) along with some of my RDNA products that didn’t make the migration. I should have some new products ready for October. I will of course post about them here when they’re ready and where to find them.
